The Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon in Wellington has moved to a NEW VENUE! The event has shifted to Kilbirnie Park. The swim is located in the 50m heated indoor pool in the Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre. The Transition Area is located outside of the pool complex on the nearby fields, and the bike and run legs are around the Kilbirnie field and surrounding streets.

WELLINGTON SOLD-OUT !!!  We have reached maximum field capacity and the Wellington event has SOLD-OUT.  For the safety of all participants and their support crews, the field limit cannot be increased. PLEASE NOTE: There will be NO on the day entries.

Wellington City Council is proud to support the Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon event & to help get kids ready for the big day they have some great pre event training sessions available over the summer holidays.  Check out the details here.

Wellington Public Parking

Car parking has been arranged for participants & spectators at; 

  • 200 Car Parks at St Patricks College. $5 charge will go towards fundraising for the College's Senior Water polo squad to attend the North Island champs in Auckland late this month. This carpark will be open from 6.45am

  • Entry from Evans Bay parade. (Evans Bay parade beside the Kilbirnie park will be one way only with entry from State Highway 1) 

  • Limited, free public car parking – ASB Sports Centre, 72 Kemp St, Kilbirnie. 

  • Limited, free public car parking. Evans Bay Marina, Evans bay road – opposite Kilbirnie park. 

Car parking at all venues is on a first in first served basis and there will be some management of the car parks to allow for regular users of those facilities to also access car parking during the event.

Please do not attempt to park in the Aquatic centre, Bowling Club, Library or Recreation centre car parking on the Kilbirnie park block between Evans Bay parade and Kilbirnie crescent as these car parks are reserved for event marshalls and will be closed between 8.30 – 12.30 as they are within the event cycle course. It is key for the safety of participants that vehicle movement onto the cycle course is restricted between these times.
