The Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon in Manukau is located at Mountfort Park. The event will start with a swim held in the indoor pool located at the Aquatic Centre beside the park. The pool is 25m in length, meaning 7 year olds do 2 laps (approx 50m), 8-10 year olds do 3 laps (approx 100m) and 11-15 year olds do 6 laps (approx 150m). Tryathletes are generally able to stand-up during the short swim; however, we do encourage everyone to give swimming a go! The Transition Area is located on at the back of the Aquatic Centre. The bike is around Mountfort Parks' surrounding roads and the run is around the field itself.
We create a safe environment where kids can focus on enjoying time with friends on the course or in activities around the Expo Village.
Every child, no matter their ability, is considered a champion and encouraged by Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon Ambassadors. A medallion is awarded for completion.
79% of parents tell us their child felt better about themselves or were glowing with pride on completion and their self-esteem and self-confidence improved.
TRYathletes receive a KIT stuffed full of goodies from Weet-Bix and our sponsors. Plus free breakfast and activities in the village for all.
